Khajuraho Monuments is a complex of ancient Hindu and Jain temples located near the town of Khajuraho in Chhatrapur district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

These temples are the epitome of Hindu urban architecture and are famous for their aphrodisiac sculptures. Most of the Khajuraho temples were built by the Chandela dynasty between 885 CE and 1000 CE.

Khajuraho monuments are widely known as one of the best and popular tourist destinations in India. It has several medieval Hindu and Jain temples and is known for their sensual sculptures.

Besides being listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is also considered one of India’s Seven Wonders.

They are about 175 kilometres southeast of Jhansi, 10 kilometres from Khajwa, 9 kilometres from Rajnagar, and 49 kilometres from district headquarter Chhatarpur.
