A large cube stone with a small hole. If you put your hand inside your fingers may touch the water and if you can bring some water from that hole with a cupped palm and bathe the small Shivlingam in the front platform you are blessed.
Dhunipani is in the middle of the forest and Bhrigu Kamandalu is 1 km away. It is a sacred and serene place in the jungle, about 2 km east of Amarkantak. Locals say that sage Bhrigu lived and practiced in a cave in this forest. As he needed water for a puja, he asked for a stone. And as per his request, a large enough hole was automatically made in the rock. And this hole, the size of a Kumandal, was filled with water. Water still flows from this sacred mandala-shaped hole. I put my hand in so that my fingers touch the water, and with my hands I scooped water out of the hole and bathed the small Shivlingam on the platform in front. I bless myself by pouring this water on Bholanath’s head.
